She was Qwest Communications' online safety spokesperson, and has held positions as a senior staff psychologist at Seattle University and UC San Diego, assistant professor of psychology at National University and lecturer at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York. Linda has been a frequent guest commentator on national and local television and radio and has published book chapters for university texts as well as academic and popular magazine articles. She blogs about love, sex and relationships at http://www.psychologytoday. Dr. Young received her doctorate from Columbia University, where her dissertation was awarded distinction, and also holds a Master of Science degree in exercise physiology. She was awarded fellowships from the Ford Foundation and Fellows in Teaching. She and her husband live in The Woodlands, TX. |
