Adam Pertman is the Executive Director of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, one of the pre-eminent policy, research and education organizations in its field. He also is the author of "Adoption Nation: How the Adoption Revolution is Transforming America," which has been reviewed as "the most important book ever written on the subject." Pertman has won numerous awards for his book and his work; he also was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his writing about adoption in The Boston Globe, where he was a reporter and editor for two decades. He is a frequent speaker at national conferences and other events dealing with adoption, families and children, and has been featured in media including "People" magazine, "Oprah," the "Today" show and "Nightline."
