Jacqueline Hudak, M.Ed., Ph.D., LMFT, is a Couple and Family Therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. She has taught family therapy at the graduate and post graduate levels as adjunct faculty at Drexel University, and faculty at The Multicultural Family Institute.  Her most recent publication, with Dr. Shawn Giamattei, "Doing Family: Decentering Heteronormativity in 'Marriage' and 'Family' Therapy" was published in the Winter 2010 Monograph of The American Family Therapy Academy.  She is also published in the areas of addiction, domestic violence, gender, and diversity. Dr. Hudak is currently at work on two books for the public on family life transitions. She wrote a monthly column, Family Stories, on the blog Girl With Pen (http://girlwithpen.blogspot.com).

Dr. Hudak received an M.Ed. in Counseling and Consulting Psychology from Harvard Univerity in 1984. After many years of clinical practice, in 2001 she chose to pursue her Ph.D. in Couple and Family Therapy at Drexel University. Her research focused on sexual fluidity and midlife identity transitions for couples and children, and the impact of heteronormative culture on family therapy theory. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in NJ, where she maintains private practices in Red Bank and Atlantic Highlands.

Dr. Hudak is a popular teacher, speaker, and family therapy supervisor, and has lectured widely on a variety of topics that impact family life. She is well known for her clinical work with addiction, gender issues, domestic violence, and helping families negotiate midlife identity transitions.
