Elizabeth Gregory is Director of the Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies Program and Professor of English at the University of Houston. Her current research explores the dynamics of birth timing and the sociology, economics and politics of women's work, at home and in the paid workforce. She is the author of Ready: Why Women Are Embracing the New Later Motherhood (Basic Books, 2008). Her next project examines contemporary fertility discourse and social transformations, post birth control.
