E-mail: anastasia.dewaal@civitas.org. Anastasia de Waal is Deputy Director and Director of Family and Education at the London-based think tank Civitas. Anastasia is a qualified early years teacher, specifically trained for inner-city teaching, with a BSc and MSc in Sociology from the London School of Economics. A regular contributor to UK and international broadcast and print media, her publications include Inspection, Inspection, Inspection, Second Thoughts on the Family and Inspecting the Inspectorate. Anastasia is Chair of the UK national parenting charity Family Lives and a board member of Women's Parliamentary Radio. In 2010 she launched the pilot for a charitable project with Westminster City Council, the Visiting Women at Work Programme, in which primary school girls are introduced to a variety of female role models in the workplace. Anastasia is currently working on a book analysing weddings in Western economies and editing a collection of essays on gay marriage.
