Scott Browning is a professor in the Department of Professional Psychology at Chestnut Hill College. He specializes in teaching about family therapy with diverse populations. He has written on stepfamily therapy and has presented internationally on the topic. The diverse family remains of central interest to his teaching, research and clinical practice. In addition, Dr. Browning has created and published the Empathy Expansion Procedure, which is used clinically to increase the potential of forgiveness in traumatized couples. Dr. Browning co-authored with Robert J. Green the chapter on Narrative Therapy in the 2003 book, Textbook of Family and Couples Therapy.
