Last Modified 2009-03-23The CCF 12th Annual Conference, "Relationships, Sexuality, and Equality: How Far Have We Come?" was held on April 17-18 at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The conference attracted national media coverage and featured cutting-edge panels on changes
in masculinities, femininities, and relationships. A special feature was the keynote address by Johns Hopkins
sociologist Andrew Cherlin, who launched his book, "The Marriage-Go-Round: The State of Marriage and the Family in America Today," which
examines the cultural contradictions caused by the high value Americans place on both marriage and
individualism.
PowerPoint slides from the conference are forthcoming.
